There are so many words in Scripture that can comfort and encourage. I wonder if, like me, one of the first verses that comes to your mind in these situations is Romans 8:28. But has this verse become too easy to quote? Has it become a band-aid verse we reach for when we don't know what else to say?
Romans 8:28 has been such a comfort to me in 35 years of chronic illness and pain, but only because Romans 8:29 is the reason, His good purpose!
Oh, how He’s drawn me closer to His Word, His love, yes…with His transforming work within. I see it now.
Your words here are a treasured reminder to me on this pain-full day. I guess there’s more of His best “good” in “conforming me to the image of Christ” a bit more today. Thank you so much, Cheryl! Taking heart today…

🎶✝️🙌🏼❤️ All glory be to Christ! 🎶
Praying that the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus as Lord will outweigh any pain you experience today, friend. 🙏❤️
Thank you so much. It has become His beautiful place of worship, simply abiding in His love. So thankful.
